Apply With Bev - Getting Started

Starting up this application can feel so overwhelming, that some folks might not even begin. If this feels like you, consider joining me, Bev, as I do the application one little piece at a time, and post my progress here. You can join me each week with an action item, and finish well ahead of the deadline. If we do a little bit each week, it won’t feel so difficult. I will post to the blog, our Instagram, and Facebook accounts. You can check our social media account for pictures to go with this description!

This week I am starting nice and easy with the Baer Reintegration Scholarship Application.

1. I’m heading to the Applications Page on the website. I’m going to review that page as it has lots of good info about the process.

2. I’m deciding if I want to apply online or by mail.

3. If by mail, I’m printing the application.

4. If online, I’m heading to the Smarter Select portal, taking the eligibility quiz, and making an account.

5. Regardless of my method of applying, I’m going to think about who I want to ask to be my two general references. I know I also need a prescribing authority reference but I already know who that is.

6. For bonus points, I’ll get in touch with ALL my references, by texting or calling or emailing, that I plan to ask them to write a recommendation for me

I think I can get that done by the end of the week. Then it will be on to the next task! Join me if you like!

***Remember, this is just one pace for our application. Should you work better at a different pace, then definitely do that! Our goal is to make the application process as manageable as possible. You know best what works for you!
